I began cross stitching in the mid 1980's doing several large projects that I had framed and have display in my home to this day. When my husband and I began to have our family, it became more difficult to continue with the bigger projects as my time was more limited. As the children grew and began school I found I had a little extra time as a stay at home Mom. I wanted to do some Christmas ornaments so I began designing small stockings with hangers on them. Over time I found myself incorporating their interests into the designs and they became nice remembrances of our journey in life together. Each year when I decorate our tree, I recall these memorable times as I place each ornament on the tree. I have designed and made ornaments for Christmas Gifts and often tie them to gift bags as an additional keep sake.
